The Central Model Infants’ School was established in 1859 and we are firmly rooted in one of Ireland’s oldest communities, right in the heart of Dublin city - an area steeped in tradition. This year we celebrate our 160th birthday here on Marlborough Street. We are so proud of our school community and the fact that we have served the families of Dublin 1 for so many generations, as well as celebrating the huge diversity and uniqueness of our school population in more recent years.

We are an Infant school comprising Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Classes under the patronage of the Minister for Education and Skills. We aim to provide a broad learning experience, encouraging a rich variety of approaches to teaching & learning that cater for the different needs of individual children. We see life as a journey - of enquiry and discovery – and seek to teach each child to learn how to live meaningfully and successfully in the world.
