First Class have been very busy this week writing reports and learning all about the seasons of the year.

Report

Room 4 learned all about the Kiwi bird and wrote reports. 

Narayan wrote a very interesting report with lots of interesting facts about the Kiwi and drew a great picture. 

 

  It is Spring!

Room 4 have been learning all about the seasons of the year.  This week they have been writing about Spring and drawing pictures.    

Natia wrote about the weather, plants and animals in Spring and drew a wonderful picture.

Robyn H typed up her report on Spring on the computer and added some pictures to show us the interesting facts about Spring.

Ms. Kings 2009 – 2010

First Class have been very busy this week writing reports and making Easter cards.

Room 5 have been reading and learning about the Red Kangaroo.  They learned lots of interesting facts and wrote excellent reports.

 

Elma wrote this report (left) telling us all of the facts she learned about the Red Kangaroo and drew a lovely picture too.

 

Samantha’s report (below) tells us that the female kangaroo carries her baby in a pouch for safety.

Tyrique drew this fantastic picture of this herd of Kangaroos.  Well done Tyrique!

Easter is almost here and we have been making some cards.  Here are just a few of them.

Junior Infants 09-10

MATHS

In Junior Infants we are learning about “Measure” in Maths.

Before Easter we looked at things that were long and short, tall and short, heavy and light  and wide and narrow.

Now we are learning about capacity.

We used sand and water to fill cups and beakers to make them full , nearly full and empty.

Room 7 have been learning some Irish Dancing. take a look!

Sunflowers

In Room Seven this week we have been looking at and talking about Vincent Van Gogh.

We studied his  painting “Vase of twelve sunflowers”.

We counted twelve different shades of orange in the picture.

We read the story of Camille and the sunflowers and discovered some very interesting facts about Vincent Van Gogh.

We mixed paints and painted the picture ourselves.

We had great fun in Room Seven dressing up for the Saint Patrick’s day assembly.
