Room 1 Trip to the Natural History Museum!
Senior Infants in Room 1, 2 and 3 went on a really special trip this week to the Natural History Museum on Merrion Square. It was fantastic! First, we hopped on the Luas to Dawson Street and travelled over the Rosie Hackett Bridge across the River Liffey!
When we arrived, we could see that the Museum was an old and important building – we were so excited to get inside! Our guide told us that the Museum is over 160 years old!
We were each given an animal teddy to bring around the Museum…and we saw the real animals too!
Some of us had panda teddies…and learned about how pandas have to eat a lot of bamboo each day!
Some of us had giraffe teddies…and found out that giraffes have really long tongues which they can use to clean their ears!
Some of us had elephant teddies…and got to touch a real elephant tusk!
And some of us had brown bears and cheeky monkeys!
Some of us were monkey-ing around in the Museum and even enjoyed some bananas in the park afterwards!
We had lots of fun in the sun in Merrion Square!
We had a really great day out and would love to go again!
