A Busy First Term in the Treehouse

The Treehouse have had a very busy first term.  We had an exciting trip to Malahide Castle to celebrate National Tree Week.  We also visited the docklands to take part in FITFEST where we all pretended to be rock drummers.  We used a lot of energy! We were lucky to have Ruth visit us two Tuesdays.  She is a Reader in Residence in the Ilac Library.  She is a  brilliant story teller!  We also visited her in the Ilac library a few times.  We love that library.  We have been busy creating art, learning maths and the Irish language. Writing stories and even Halloween spells!  We all dressed up for a Halloween party in our class and played funny Halloween games.  We even made Halloween cookies!  Ms King’s favourite activity was the wonderful ukulele lesson in the Ilac library.  We all made sweet music!!  We had a visit from one of the Dublin footballers.  He brought the Sam Maguire to our school so that we could look at it. Of course, we all wrote a letter to Santa to say how good we have been all year and posted them in the GPO.  Ms King hopes he will be a generous Santa!
