Seachtain na Gaeilge

Bhíomar ag chéiliúradh Seachtain na Gaeilge inniú sa Mhódh Scoil Láir Naíonán! Bhí seans ag gach rang píosa beag Gaeilge a dhéanamh os comhair na scoile.

Ar dtús, chan Seomra a Ceathair amhrán darb ainm “Fáilte Isteach”.

Ansin, rinne Seomra a Chúig cómhrá idir custaiméir agus siopadóir sa Siopa Éadaí.

Ina dhiaidh sin, rinne Seomra a Sé agus a Seacht “An Damhsa Mór”.

Thaispeáin Seomra a hOcht agus an Treehouse píosa ealaín dúinn agus chan siad amhrán do Lá na Máithreacha.

Chan Seomra a hAon, a Dó agus a Trí amhrán darb ainm “Mo Sheachtain”.

Rinne na páistí ón club “Be Active” an damhsa “Balla Luimnigh”.

Faoi dhéireadh, bhí Céilí Mór ag an scoil go léir agus bhaineamar an-taitneamh as!

Bhí an-craic againn! Is aoibhinn linn Gaeilge a labhairt.

We were celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge today in Central Model Infants’ School!

Every class performed something in Irish for the whole school.

To begin with, Room 4 sang a song called “Fáilte Isteach”.

Then Room 5 performed a cómhrá as Gaeilge between a customer and a shopkeeper in a clothes shop.

After that, Room 6 and 7 performed an Irish dance called “An Damhsa Mór”.

Room 8 and the Treehouse showed us some beautiful artwork they created for Mother’s Day.

Rooms 1 , 2 and 3 sang a song about the days of the week called ‘Mo Sheachtain”.

The children from the “Be Active” club performed the Irish dance “Balla Luimnigh”.

Finally, there was a Céilí Mór for the whole school and everyone really enjoyed it! We had great craic! We love speaking Irish!

GAA Club Trip to Croke Park

The boys and girls in GAA Club had a wonderful day out in Croke Park. We took the bus over to Croke Park and got an excellent guide around the stadium from John. We got to explore all around inside the stadium, where the players arrive, their dressing rooms, warm-up areas, we went down pitchside running out the tunnel like the Dublin Footballers! We got to sit where the President and An Taoiseach sit, and had a bird’s eye view when we went to the upper level. Not only that we also got to practice some of our GAA skills, we were running, jumping and got to practice our kick passing as well! We saw Liam McCarthy and Sam Maguire too, the trophies for the hurling and football winners. It was a great day out that everyone thoroughly enjoyed!
