We had another wonderful and busy week in Central Model Infants’ School as we went to Music in the Classroom on Monday and celebrated World Book Day on Thursday. Congratulations to all out Pupil’s of the Week, some of whom were lucky enough to receive the award for a second time this year!! Oh they must be working very hard for their teachers.
It was Room 3’s chance to perform on stage this week. Over recent weeks the children from Junior and Senior Infants have been practising and developing their GAA skills with the help and guidance of Mr. Carey. So this week the children Room 3 demonstrated the skills they have learned to date. It was amazing to see the children travelling, soloing and passing balls back and forth. We bet that some of them may even end up playing in Croke Park in the future! Well done to Room 3.
Mrs. Groves and the Treehouse took some time during the assembly to show all of the children some Irish phrases (frásaí Ghaeilge) in preparation for Seachtain na Gaeilge. It was lovely to hear the children from the Treehouse speaking and using Gaeilge. The phrases were then hung up around the school and we hope to that they will inspire the children to speak Irish during Seachtain na Gaeilge, which will be happening in the school next week.
