Learning all about hedgehogs in the Treehouse

In the Treehouse we have been learning all about hedgehogs; here are just some of the interesting things we discovered:

• Hedgehog babies are called hoglets.

• Hedgehogs are nocturnal creatures.

• In autumn they hibernate.

• Hedgehogs are lactose intolerant - milk makes them very sick.

• Hedgehogs can have between 2,000-5,000 spikes on their bodies.

When we finished learning all about hedgehogs we celebrated by baking and decorating some hedgehog buns - they were delicious!!!
