Boom Town Build Begins in Room 1

This week as part of our Aistear Programme, Room 1 began the First Lego League initiative. The First Lego league programme offers children hands-on STEM learning experiences using Lego.

The challenge that the children will be working on for this term is called 'BOOMTOWN BUILD'. Teams will explore the growing needs and challenges of the people in their community. Teams will help to imagine and create a building that solves a problem and makes life easier, happier, or more connected for the people that use it.

Here are some pictures from our introductory Boomtown Build lego sessions, where we learned about architects, engineers and builders and practiced working with a partner. We are really looking forward to progressing through the programme in the coming weeks and months and can't wait to share the finished results with you all!
