Recommended Books

It is important that we continue to keep 2 metres distance between ourselves and other people when we are out doors. This can be difficult for young children to understand. If you haven't had a chance yet we recommend watching the following two videos. They explain physical (social) distancing for young children

Explaining Social Distancing to Children | Meet the Helpers

What is physical distancing? | CBC Kids News

The following books help children understand why we are staying at home for now and reassure them that this time will pass. Click on the links to the e-books. The PDF book "The Oyster and the Butterfly: The Coronavirus and me" is attached below.

The Day the Crayons Quit

Take a break and listen to this great story. It’s a very funny story about a box of crayons who got annoyed and wrote letters to their owner Duncan to tell him why. Enjoy the story.
