Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we near the end of the school year the First Class Teaching Team have prepared some special activities for the children. We would like the children to reflect on their time in the Central Model Infants' School. They have grown and achieved so much, made strong friendships and contributed a lot to our school. We are very proud of all of them. We have very fond memories of the children and we have included them in the resources.
We want to hear YOUR memories of the three years you spent in Central Model Infants’ School. In your pack sent home are some pages to write your memories on. Remember to send them into us via email as we are looking forward to remembering the good times we had together over the years.
We continue to create a plan of activities that do not require any printing. If you are having difficulty accessing any of the resources or would like to send us a message you can contact us at firstclass@centralmodelinfantschool.ie.
We hope you are keeping well and safe.
Kind regards
The First Class Teaching Team
Ms Beakey, Ms Bennett, Ms Coghlan, Ms Dunphy, Ms Gibbons, Ms King
We know how much everyone is missing their friends. Watch this video called “While We Can’t Hug” to see how two friends found ways to keep in touch with each other.

What would you like to be when you grow up?
Can you also write at least two reasons why?
When I was 7 years old I wanted to be a famous horse rider. I loved horses and I really wanted to have my own horse. I wanted to race in competitions. My parents bought my sisters, brother and I a donkey. Her name was Rose! I LOVED Rose! I never became a famous horse rider. I became a teacher instead.
Can you guess who I am?
Clue….I am a class teacher in first.

Can you remember your very first day in the Central Model Infants School? Who was your teacher in Junior Infants? How old were you? How did you feel? Were you excited/scared/happy? Can you remember any of the activities you did?
Write about your first day in school. If you can’t remember then imagine how it felt and write about that.
“On my first day in school (a long time ago) I was 4 years old. I went to a school in Cork city. I wore a new uniform and got a black satchel bag, I was so proud. I was a bit scared but made lots of friends and had a lovely teacher who read big books and sang lovely songs! (I remember thinking she was very tall!)“. Mrs. Dunphy
