Room 3 - A Visit to Hugh Lane Gallery

Room 3 had a fantastic trip to The Hugh Lane Gallery this week. We looked at some artwork by a former Central Model Student Harry Clarke (1889-1931). Harry Clarke was very famous for his work with stained glass windows and the children were very impressed by his piece ' The Eve of Saint Agnes' Inspired by his work the children set to work making their own version of a stain glass window and you can enjoy the results on the windows of Room 3. The children also had great fun doing some sketching and then drawing pictures of sea animals and plants using different coloured chalks. A great day out!!!
