Room 3's Trip to Malahide Castle

Room 3 had the most enjoyable trip to Malahide Castle last Thursday; we absolutely loved climbing aboard our large coach and heading off on our journey to Malahide Castle. We began our day by exploring some of the Castle grounds; we found lots of interesting trees and flowers, collected some leaves, nuts & pine cones and even managed to spot a squirrel who was busy preparing for hibernation. After that we all headed over to the amazing playground to try out all of the amazing equipment that was on offer there. We finished our day with a lovely picnic, followed by some hill-rolling and blackberry picking. We are so lucky that our wonderful Ms. Coghlan brought home some of the blackberries that we collected and made them into delicious pots of jam, that meant that today in school we were able to enjoy a toast & jam party in our classroom.

What a wonderful way to celebrate harvest time and Autumn!
