Happy Friday everyone!
Oh I really do love Fridays, I always have such a happy feeling on a Friday! Do you like Fridays?
I have had so much fun this week doing the work that your teachers sent you. I can’t decide what my favourite activity was! What was your favourite activity?
I woke up nice and early today to get my morning exercise in! I really love doing 10@10! It’s so much fun and really gets your body moving! What is your favourite exercise to do? I love to jump!
After some exercise, I learned the sight words that you have been learning in school! You really are very clever to be learning to read and write all those words! Ms Byrne is teaching me the same words as you and I hope I can be just as good at reading and writing as you all are! Although, it’s very tricky to find a pencil small enough for me...
Ms Byrne then told me that we were going to look at things that float and sink so my first job was to find a pot to fill. I showed Ms Byrne which pot I thought would work the best and she filled it up with water. The next thing she asked me to do was to pick some things around the house that we could experiment with. I asked if I could get into the pot but Ms Byrne said it wasn’t bath time just yet! I do love bath time...
For my floating and sinking experiment I picked a peg, a card, a sponge, a spoon and Ms Byrnes cream! I found it so interesting to guess what I thought would float or sink and then test it! Can you look through my pictures and see what was floating or sinking?
The last activity we did today was some yoga. Me and Ms Byrne did the yoga together! It was so nice and relaxing. She wanted to say that she misses you all very much and she can’t wait to see you again soon. She’s been talking to all the other Junior Infant teachers and they have all been saying how great you are and what wonderful work you have been doing.
