Hi Children, Parents and Friends,
We never imagined the school would be silent and that we'd all be at home in this lovely Spring weather. I hope you are washing hands really well, staying close to home and at a distance from others to keep yourself safe.
By now you all got texts and emails from your teachers. We hope you enjoy doing the work and have fun with all the ideas we sent. Snuggle up and read with someone who loves you, solve the maths problem, keep really fit... Dance, jump, sing, dream and stay positive - it's not easy to have to stay inside away from your friends.
Remember I said there will be prizes for great effort, art, stories, your creations? I'll keep that promise ... you amaze us every day with your Irish, songs, reading, jokes, lego, sports skills and kindness. Do that at home too and you'll help your family so much.
Parents, we know this is stressful. You must be missing the routine and structure. I know some of you are out working in the community (thank you!) and some of you have just lost jobs and have other worries. All of the staff are in solidarity with you. We hope that you and your family get through this safely.
I will be so happy the day I can open the school gate and the children all run, walk, scoot and tumble in smiling, ready to work and play with their friends again.
Meanwhile, we miss you and we'll stay in touch.
