Central Model Schools' Choir
The Central Model Schools' choir is run by Ms. Healy and choir director Carmel Whelan, every Wednesday for children in Senior Infants and First Classes aswell as children in the Senior School.
Explorers Club
Explorers club is run by Ms. Lyons and Ms. Byrne on Tuesday and is for Junior Infant children.
The boys and girls in The Explorers Club engage in fun activities which encourage them to socialise, play and learn new skills. Art, PE, Drama, Lego, cooking and circle time are just some of the activities carried out each Tuesday in Room 8!
Be Active Club
Be Active Club is run by Ms. O'Connor and Ms. Wimsey on Thursdays and is for First class children.
Be Active introduces children to fun physical activity in a safe, familiar, structured setting, with an emphasis on enjoyment, learning and variety of activity. The programme aims to improve the attitudes of both children and their parents towards physical activity and lay the foundation for positive, lifelong physical activity habits. Children from First class take part in Be Active ASAP every Thursday after school and we invite parents to come and help out with out activities when available.
Doodle Den
Doodle Den is an after-school literacy programme targeted at children aged 5 to 6 years of age in Senior Infants. The programme focuses on improving children's literacy through a wide range of activities. Barbara and Julie from the NCI run this Childhood Development Initiative in our school on Mondays - Wednesdays.
