We have had a busy and fun lead-up to our national holiday, St. Patrick’s Day!
Seachtain na Gaeilge a bhí ann. Bhíomar ag caint a lán Gaeilge, ag éisteacht le scéalta deasa le Róisín, ag scríobh agus ag canadh.
It was Seachtain na Gaeilge (a week of celebrating our native language, Irish). We were speaking lots of Irish, listening to lovely stories with Róisín, writing and singing.
We continued to learn GAA hurling skills with our coach, Thomas.
We played the bodhrán with Rob. We loved listening to him play the bodhrán too, as well as the flute.
We made a headband for St Patrick’s Day, as well as a hanging rainbow.
We performed “An Hócaí Pócaí” at the school’s outdoor assembly, the 'Hooley in the Schooley!'
We finished off with a whole-school céilí, where we all danced to Irish music!
