Green Schools Meeting 03.03.23

Well done to the Green-Schools Committee who scheduled a meeting with Barbara Keough from Alternative Cleaning Services. Barbara had received an invite from the Committee so that they could work towards a greener school with the help of the cleaning services in the school. Barbara was delighted to get the letter from the Central Model Infant's School and has printed a copy for her office. Barbara came to the meeting with lots of new information for the Committee. The Green-Schools Committee have decided to go with a new smaller general waste bin so that waste will be correctly recycled or composted. These new bins will have little stickers on them to serve as a further reminder to everybody in the school as to what should go in each bin. Also, Alternative Cleaning Services have decided to run a competition to see which class are doing the best job at recycling. It is going to be a difficult job for Alternative Cleaning Services to pick a winning classroom because of the high standard of recycling across the school. The Committee also want to say well done to the Eco Warriors around the school for making the school an energy efficient place to be. The Committee are looking forward to their next meeting as they will be concentrating on painting and decorating fairy doors to make our garden even more colourful. The fairies will love their new home in the Central Model Infant School.
