Well done to this fantastic group of children who were nominated by their teachers to represent their class on the Active Schools Committee this year!
We held our first meeting today and these boys and girls had some excellent ideas to share!
Firstly, they made suggestions as to what equipment we could consider buying for the school that would encourage everyone to stay active at lunch time. The list included footballs, basket balls, goal posts, a low basketball hoop, yard markings, a slide with a ladder, a lower climbing frame.... Lots of fantastic ideas there to consider.
We also walked our 'Active School Walkway' which takes us across the yard to the arch, behind the Treehouse, to the soft play area and into the garden. Keep an eye out for the green signs!
The Active School Committee decided that, for the rest of October, every class in the school should focus on walking our 'Active School Walkway' as much as possible, completing as many laps as possible to really prepare themselves for running them next month!
