Using Beebots in the Treehouse

This week the Treehouse First Class began some lessons on programming. We have been using BeeBot robots as a learning resource for these lessons.

Beebots help children engage in open-ended problems which require the use of decomposition, modelling and algorithms - they help children to develop their spatial awareness and using positional language.

Digital technology lessons, like the ones the Treehouse are engaging in, are are a great way for children learn to quickly fix and try again in different ways when something doesn't work out. They also equip kids with the ability to stick with a problem and work on finding a solution.

These problem-solving techniques are transferable to a lot of other areas of learning, but most importantly it is a lot of fun to learn how to do something new!! 😊
