The Active Schools Committee had their first meeting of the new year. We had a chat about how we stay active in our school by doing P.E. with our teacher and moving in the yard. We spend our yard time playing football, basketball, chasing, skipping and many other games with our hula hoops and stompers.
Our goal for the next month is to work on the fundamental movement skill of skipping. We hope to develop this skill by playing skipping games with our class. We are going to try get moving for 5 minutes every day to work on this skill and we hope our committee members with help our teachers by reminding them that we need to get moving more!
