Hello to all our Senior Infant families,
Can you believe it? It's June and summer is finally here!!! We hope you have been enjoying the recent fine and sunny weather.
We are almost at the finish line of the school year. Just a little bit more to go. Hang in there, you're doing a fantastic job!!!!
Thankfully, government restrictions will ease this week allowing us to travel that little bit further. Hopefully our good weather will remain and allow us the opportunity to really explore this week's theme which is Summer!!!
This week you will be reading and writing summer words and drawing lots of nice pictures to go with them. We encourage you to get outside and look in your local area for signs that summer has arrived. As we will all be spending more time outside in the coming weeks, we have included some stories highlighting why it is important to take our rubbish home with us when we visit the beach and park. Let's all follow the message 'Leave No Trace' so we can all enjoy our beautiful local areas.
Not everyone gets a holiday during the summer months. Find out about the bzzzy work Bees will be getting up to during the summer.
Next week will also see Local Libraries reopening. We would really encourage you to take your child along to borrow some new books. The kids just love the mini libraries in their classrooms and we know they would really enjoy getting to visit a real library.
As always, should you have any questions please don't hesitate to email us.
